Search Database

Step 4 of 6

Using Parameters

It is possible to further refine your search by using more that two parameters linked by Booleans.

You can see in the image opposite just a few of the search parameters that can be used in the database.

Utilising some of the other parameters not shown here it is possible to conduct a search by molecular weight, density, ion charge and hazard & toxicity.

Moreover, in the database you will notice that each parameter has both text entry and browse functions so that you have the choice of typing in a search term or selecting it from an index.

Having chosen the parameters you wish to use, and having selected the Booleans with which you wish to connect the parameters, simply click the 'submit search' button found at the top left of the search screen.
