Drawing structures

Having obtained the plugin it is possible to draw a chemical structure or substructure as a search item. To do this choose whether you wish to search for a sub-structure or for a complete structure match and then click the 'Draw Query' button (see below).

The drawing plugin

A new window, as shown below, will then open. Note that a basic chemical structure within the window has been drawn as the basis for a search. For details of how to draw chemical structures please consult the help menu.

When you have completed drawing your structure or sub-structure you simply click the 'add structure to search query' button which will take you to the screen shown below. Then choose either 'Exact Match' or 'Substructure' and then press 'Submit Search'.
